The Area
Central Gippsland is the hidden treasure of Victoria. Soft, green rolling hills with deep, dark, fertile soil perfect for growing the very best potatoes and dairy cows. It's natural rain forests mixed in with rich agricultural land. Wombats, wallabies, koalas, echidnas can be spotted, as well as Wedge tailed Eagles, Yellow tailed Black Cookatoos, kookaburras & King Parrots. The rich geometry of the potato paddocks, the depth of colour, shafts of light through towering clouds, venerable Mountain Ash trees..... will all seduce you in this most stunning of regions.

If high quality produce is your thing, then you won't be disappointed. Known as the Gippsland Gourmet Country, there is a great range of award winning wines, dairy products, fruits; jams & pickles & restaurants in the area. This is a wonderful area to explore over a number of days.
